In 1975, the late Tan Khai Hee founded Hai-O Group which specializes in selling products from China, such as traditional Chinese medicine, medicinal wine, health care products, tea, and so on. He actively promoted business collaborations between Chinese entrepreneurs in Malaysia and China and exchanges among citizens of the two countries. In 1992, he co-founded Malaysia-China Friendship Association with Wan Osman Wan Awang, a renowned Malay poet and Malaysian National Laureate. Their commendable effort had garnered support from The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce & Industry of Malaysia and played an indelible role in strengthening Malaysia-China relations.

Datuk Tan Yew Sing has been dedicated to promoting democracy and human rights education in youth organizations since the 1980s. For more than 20 years, he cares about the development of society and the country and often communicates and coordinates with organizations of different ethnic groups to reach a consensus on various issues. Hence, he is the exemplar of a great leader who is capable of turning ideas into actions. In addition, he has more than 20 years of extensive experience in participating in and leading various Chinese organizations.

Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Lim Gait Tong generously and consistently volunteered his time and donated money to give back to the community. In 2007, he was conferred the PSM which carries the title of Tan Sri by the Yang Di Pertuan Agong. He holds important positions in many associations, including the founder and trustee of Tan Kah Kee Foundation Malaysia and the Honorary Life President of the Federation of Chinese Associations Malaysia (Huazong).

Dato Ir. Steve Chong Yoon On is passionate about new technical knowledge and progress related to engineering. He consistently strives for improvements and is dedicated to creating innovative and lively communities. He was awarded the “Business Excellence Person of the Year” at the Sin Chew Business Excellence Awards 2015 for his exceptional contributions. He spares no expense and effort in developing the Chinese community and Chinese education, including launching various corporate social responsibility programs to support vulnerable groups and promote cultural development.
